Chris Burgess founded Arty Duck Studio in 2023, originally as a social media platform to showcase illustrations. What began as a creative outlet quickly evolved into something far more tangible.

Drawing on CAD modelling expertise developed for video game design, Chris transitioned into the world of physical 3D printing — blending digital precision with artisan craftsmanship.

In 2025, Arty Duck Studio reached a defining milestone: a collaboration with Leek Town Council to produce 100 limited-edition 3D printed models of the Nicholson War Memorial, commemorating its centenary. One model now resides with the Nicholson Family; another travels to Este, Italy — Leek's twin town.

Today, Chris continues to push the boundaries of heritage modelling, working with Outside Arts and the Friends of the Nicholson Institute to preserve Leek's history in three dimensions.
